Lucy Learn vs TutorCruncher

Made for you, not an agency.

TutorCruncher is built for tutoring agencies, coaching companies and education providers. Lucy Learn is made for independent UK tutors. Keep your week organised, manage your families and get paid, all for one monthly price.

TutorCruncher is built for agencies. Lucy Learn puts your tutoring business first.

Agencies need tools for managing tutors, payroll and split payments. As an independent tutor, your priorities are different. Lucy Learn brings your teaching week, families and finances together, without the agency features you may not need.

Payments

What families pay you is yours.

Families pay directly into your own Stripe account. Lucy Learn takes nothing from those payments, so Stripe’s own fees are the only payment fees. You pay one monthly price for the software, however many lessons you teach.

TutorCruncher

TutorCruncher’s pricing lists a percentage fee on card payments, plus a 1% fee on lessons paid outside the system on its Pay as you go plan.

Lucy Learn

Nothing taken from what families pay, and every payment matched to its invoice for you. Stripe’s own fees are the only payment fees.

Payments.Card and Direct Debit payments are listed here, each matched to its invoice.

Annual plans

Spread the year into monthly payments.

An annual plan spreads the cost of a year’s sessions evenly across equal monthly instalments, holidays included, so parents and you know what to expect, with a fixed monthly cost. Each instalment joins your monthly invoice run and is collected by Direct Debit. Switch on automatic sending when you’re ready, or review the run yourself.

TutorCruncher

TutorCruncher’s help centre explains that subscriptions do not automatically bill clients. You still need to regenerate and raise the invoices.

Lucy Learn

Annual plan instalments join your monthly invoice run and are collected by Direct Debit. You choose whether the run sends automatically.
