Write it once.Keep the process moving.
Some parts of running a tutoring practice repeat every week. You write similar emails, prepare sessions for children you already know and record attendance after lessons.
We give you ways to reuse what you've already written, keep routine messages consistent and find help when you need it. You stay in control of what you send and what you record.
Make routine emails your own.
Go to Settings, then Email templates, to edit the subject and message of the emails your families receive. Add fill-ins such as a family's name, an invoice total or a session date, and preview the wording with details from one of your own families.
We keep each saved version, so you can return to earlier wording using Use this wording. You can choose whether each email should send on its own or wait for me. Emails start set to send on their own, and you can change that setting.
Check messages before they go.
Emails set to wait for your approval appear in the Outbox. You can read the message, send it or discard it before it goes to the family.
You can also send a one-off email to a family. Replies go to your own email address.
The available automatic emails include invoices issued, overdue reminders, payments received, refused Direct Debits, session feedback ready, cancelled sessions, messages before a first session, messages after a taster, places offered, waiting-list messages and paperwork reminders.
Automatic messages are limited to the available types. Session reminder emails, for example, aren't available.
Start session plans from last time.
When you're planning a session for children you've taught before, Last time shows your previous plan beside the editor, including what families were sent.
Choose Copy it in to fill the new plan from last time, then make the changes you need. Plans save as you type, and you can attach PDFs, pictures and links.
Your session plans are for you. Families don't see them.
Record attendance on your phone.
Attendance is designed for the phone, so you can mark each child as attended or absent without needing to sit down at your computer. You can also find sessions still waiting for attendance from your calendar and dashboard.
Find help where you’re working.
Every screen has a How this works guide. Many guides include an animated demonstration, and there are troubleshooting entries for when something isn’t working as expected.
You can find help from within the app rather than needing to leave the screen you're using.
- 1.Open today’s session from your calendar or Today.
- 2.Tap Attended or Absent for each child.
- 3.If a child was absent, choose the reason.
Your questions, answered.

- Can families see my session plans?
